Our graduate Tülin Özen, who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in Theater in 2004, is in the spotlight with her performance as the character 'Canan' in the film 'Tereddüt Çizgisi'.
The film tells the story of Canan, an idealistic defense attorney, whose day in the courthouse and night by her mother's side in the hospital unfolds in less than 24 hours. It had its world premiere in the official competition selection of the Orizzonti Section at the 80th Venice Film Festival.
After its first screening, the writer, director, producer, and editor of 'Tereddüt Çizgisi' Selman Nacar, along with the cast, answered the audience's questions.
The Hollywood Reporter, commenting on the film after its premiere, said, 'Tülin Özen delivers an excellent performance' and the film was selected among the top 15 films by critics for autumn festivals.
The film 'Tereddüt Çizgisi' has won the 'Best Film' award at the Zurich Film Festival, the 'Human Rights' award at the Free Zone Film Festival, and the 'Best Film' at the Cinemamed Film Festival. It continues to be screened and nominated at many international festivals.
In addition to her involvement in festival films, our graduate simultaneously engages in theater productions and television series. Currently in its 3rd season, her plays include 'Nora 2', 'Canavar' and the new play 'Terörizm' which premiered at the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) Theater Festival.
Our graduate, who also appears in selected projects on digital platforms, will be on mainstream television screens with the series 'Arak' before the end of the year.
