a

Our 2015 Turkish Language and Literature graduate, Nagehan Kruç Şeremet, took her readers on a time-travel journey from Skopje to Istanbul with her book Kerpiç Reçeli.

She has contributed a real-life story to the ongoing discussion on migration. Nagehan Kruç Şeremet will discuss the topic of "Rumeli Immigrants" with our students. All students are invited to this talk organized in collaboration with the Social Sciences Club and the Career Development and Alumni Relations Directorate.

About Nagehan Kruç Şeremet:

Born on October 3, 1990, in Beyoğlu, her interest in literature and writing began in middle school. She completed her undergraduate studies in Turkish Language and Literature Teaching at Yeditepe University. After the birth of her first son, she developed an interest in Child Development and completed a second undergraduate degree in this field. During her years as a teacher, she received awards in an anecdote category for one year and in poetry for two other years in district competitions. With the responsibility of being the youngest daughter in a Balkan immigrant family, she reimagined and novelized the stories she heard from her elders.
