Bosphorus Trio

Bosphorus Trio was founded in 2016 by three young and hardworking artists who came together with their ideals to bring a new breath to the piano trio repertoire, violinist Özgecan Günöz, pianist and composer Özgür Ünaldı and cellist Çağlayan Çetin, who managed to combine their professional careers with a strong amateur spirit. One of the group members, Özgecan Günöz, is the principal violinist of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and also a member of the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. The group's cellist Çağlayan Çetin serves as a cellist in the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. Pianist and composer Özgür Ünaldı continues his duties as a professor at the Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory.

Bosphorus Trio has taken part in prestigious festivals such as the International Ankara Music Festival, the Silver Lyre Chamber Music Festival organized in St. Petersburg, “Beethoven 250” with the collaboration of Classic Keyifler and the Goethe Institute, and the Byzanthe Chamber Music Festival. They have performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto as a soloist with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra. They have given concerts in important art venues in Turkey and abroad such as the Albert Long Hall, Glinka Hall (St. Petersburg), Palazzo Chigi Saracini (Siena), AKM, Süreyya Opera House, ODAMER, CSO Concert Hall, Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center Great Hall, Hikmet Şimşek Art Center, UÜDK Practice Hall, and Erimtan Museum, and have received praise. Bosphorus Trio was deemed worthy of the 2022-2023 “Performance of the Year Award” within the scope of the BESOM “Contemporary Turkish Music Awards” given annually by the Union of Composers, Conductors and Musicologists (BESOM).

The group has three albums, "Turkish Piano Trios" released by Naxos, "Piano Threes" released by Lila Music, and "D'Light" released by AK Music.
