“Intergenerational Conversations” Event

We are very excited about the second installment of our upcoming INTERGENERATIONAL CHAT event

Our “Intergenerational Conversations” event, which will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a discussion on “The Joy of Thrace: Rumeli and Balkan Dances” featuring our distinguished guests İmdat Töremen and Tuncay Okyar.

We will learn about the characteristic features of traditional folk dances of the region, clothing culture, lifestyles of the people living in the region, and cultural values through the narrations of our distinguished guests.

Following the talk, we will continue our event with a workshop starting at 6:00 p.m.

In this workshop, guided by our instructors İmdat Töremen and Tuncay Okyar, we will learn and practice examples of Turkish folk dances from the Kırklareli, Edirne, and Üsküp regions together.

Everyone is invited to our event, where we will feel the joyful excitement of Thrace together and take lively, energetic steps with its lively and dynamic figures.
