We will discover the mysterious waters of Basilica Cistern together with our Guide Ahmet Faik Özbilge and Art Historian Hayri Fehmi Yılmaz from 1001 Istanbul!

We are waiting for those who do not get tired of walking and listening to Istanbul on this mysterious evening journey starting from Istanbul Library, where we will breathe in the enchanting atmosphere of Hagia Sophia, get lost in the historical texture of Divanyolu and discover the mysterious world of Basilica Cistern.

The Golden Horn Brass (GHB) ensemble, which was founded in 2004 by Begüm Gökmen and has managed to continue its activities uninterruptedly until today, is the longest-running brass quintet in Turkey and was awarded the “First Prize” in the “Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year” category at the Donizetti Classical Music Awards in 2014. The ensemble, which is the most prominent representative of our country in this field, successfully represents our country in prestigious organizations abroad as well as in numerous concerts in Turkey.

Invited by Istanbul Modern for the 100th Anniversary of Japan-Turkey diplomatic relations, Chiharu Shiota addresses the feeling of “being in an in-between place” from many perspectives in her exhibition Between Worlds.

In the other exhibition, we will see how colors transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

In this gathering held at the workshop of classical kemenche maker Murat Yerden, you are invited to witness up close the birth of a handmade musical instrument.

Fusion Workshop

By drawing and cutting colorful glass pieces and placing them on a flat transparent glass surface, you will create your own unique patterns.

Note: Fusion works will go through a kiln-firing process and will be shipped to your address afterwards.

Bead Workshop

You will learn basic bead-shaping techniques and create your own handmade glass beads.

Note: Beads will be delivered on the same day.

Hot Glass Blowing Workshop

The Cinema Symphony Orchestra, founded under the leadership of General Artistic Director and French horn player Hakan Ateş, holds the title of being the first professional pop symphonic orchestra in Europe and Türkiye. The orchestra reaches wide audiences both at home and abroad by interpreting domestic and international film scores, musicals, and popular works in its unique symphonic style.

During the tour, participants were given the opportunity to get to know Edirne's historical and cultural heritage up close; the city's symbolic structures, local fabric, and traditional flavors were explored with a professional guide.
