We discussed 'New Generation Marketing in a Digitalized World' with our Distinguished Alumni.

Göksemin Gökalp Özdemir;

 Göksemin Gökalp Özdemir was born in 1984 in Elazığ. He spent part of his childhood in Texas and, due to his father's profession, completed his education at seven different schools.

At the age of 17, he started at Yeditepe University, where he became acquainted with the world of branding and marketing, which was his dream. After receiving his degree in Business Administration, he started working at TNT Express. Following his MBA, he served as a brand manager for companies such as Calvin Klein, Swatch, G-Star Raw, and Vakko.

In 2015, he started his own business, offering brand management and digital strategy consultancy to entrepreneurs and corporate firms that manage their brands with an entrepreneurial spirit. To date, he has been involved in the growth process of hundreds of startups.

He mentors in entrepreneurship programs such as Google Launchpad, Google Developers Group, İş Bankası Workup, Hackquarters, WeWork Labs, Seedstars, and Startupbootcamp, representing Turkey as a jury member and mentor in over 20 countries. He also teaches and gives lectures on "Becoming a Brand in the Digital World" and "Entrepreneurship and Brand Strategies" at top universities and companies in Turkey. In 2022, he published his book titled "Does Digital Have a Book?" which entered the bestsellers list during its release week.

Uraz Kaspar

After graduating from Yeditepe University's Graphic Design department in 2010, he continued working in this field for a short period. Between 2007-2008, he attempted to launch Turkey's first subculture design magazine called Dergi 580. Despite a year of teamwork, design, and marketing efforts, the project was not successful.

In 2021, he joined Kadir Has University as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Communication's New Media Department, where he teaches courses such as 'New Media Publishing, News and Storytelling, Content Strategies for New Media, Building Digital Startups, Growth Hacking, and New Media Business.' Since 2011, he has been involved in academic work at Yeditepe University and, more recently, at Bahçeşehir University and Nişantaşı University. He also successfully integrated and still teaches 'Podcast' courses at the university level in Turkey.

Since 2018, he has been working to promote and increase awareness of the podcast format in Turkey. In 2020, he became one of the co-founders of Podfresh, Turkey's first Podcast Agency & Broadcasting Network. He continues to produce and work on productions for the podcast ecosystem in both the United States and Turkey. As part of the Podfresh team, they have achieved significant milestones, including establishing Turkey's first Podcast Training Academy, organizing Turkey's first Podcast Awards in collaboration with PowerFM, and becoming the first Podcast Agency in Europe to sign a Collective Bargaining Agreement with a Journalists' Union. His team continues to produce and work on audio content. Through the Podcast Academy he founded in 2018, he has conducted over 350 in-person and online training sessions in about 15 different cities in Turkey on 'Podcasts for Journalists and Communicators' and 'New Media.'

Kaspar is a co-author of the book Culture.Art.Management and continues his work in the media sector as a member of the IFJ (International Federation of Journalists) and the IPI (International Press Institute) Turkey Committee.

Fırat Keçeli

Fırat Keçili graduated from Yeditepe University's Public Relations and Promotion department and completed his master's degree in Corporate Communication at Istanbul University.He began his career with various agency experiences and then managed communication and marketing processes at Kuveyt Türk Bank. Afterward, he returned to the agency world, taking on the role of Head of Digital Communication at Native Media AŞ. In this role, he led digital marketing processes for major brands such as A101, Emlak Konut, Filli Boya, Gain, Sütaş, Turkish Airlines, and Ziraat Group. Following his tenure there, he served as the Communication Director at Baykar, a Turkish technology company that produces unmanned aerial vehicles.Since January 2022, Fırat Keçili has been leading communication and marketing processes for over 20 brands and companies across 9 different sectors under Gürsoy Holding.

Utku Kuşcu

He was born in Antalya in 1985, graduated from Antalya College Science High School in 2003, and completed his degree in Computer Engineering at Yeditepe University in 2008. After graduating, he worked as a software specialist in the telecommunications field at Orga GmBH, and in 2011, he became a co-founder of Scope.

Since 2011, he has been involved in developing software projects across various disciplines, guiding the digital marketing journey of many global and local brands. He actively participates in events related to digital marketing and provides seminars to institutions and brands.

Under the Scope Labs brand, he works on the adaptation of innovative technologies into digital projects, particularly focusing on developing digital products in the healthcare sector. The products developed for the healthcare field are currently used in 40 different countries to help improve patients' lives.

In addition to the many digital projects developed with his brands, he also provides consulting for investments in the dating app and fantasy football fields. Together with his valuable Scope team, he continues to serve local and global brands with an innovative approach through dozens of projects every year..
