We are thrilled to announce our first run—which everyone has been eagerly awaiting—and to kick off our club’s activities. We’ll meet on Thursday, April 16, at 8:00 PM, enjoy some coffee, and start our run at 8:30 PM! For those who have never run before and are trying it for the first time, we’ll have a run-walk group.

Architectural Exploration and Collage Workshop

Starting from Tünel Square in Beyoğlu, we will explore the downhill streets of Istanbul through our own perception, following any route we choose, and create an individual path.

Our aim is to reach the Istanbul Modern building from Tünel Square via a route shaped by deviations, misdirections, and abandonments guided by spontaneous choices, coincidences, momentary attractions, curiosity, and what we wish to remember.

In this installment of our series, we’re bringing the Black Sea’s boundless energy and the exuberance of horon to our campus.

Following a talk led by our esteemed professor Tahir BAKAL, where we’ll explore the historical roots of horon culture from an academic perspective, we’ll come together in our workshop under the guidance of Professors Tahir BAKAL, Mahmut TURAN, and Erol ALYEŞİL to perform the characteristic figures and traditional style of the horon.
