The book titled 'Kerpiç Reçeli' by Nagehan Kruç Şeremet, a graduate of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching in 2015, was published by Destek Yayınları.

Back Cover Text:

A DRAMATIZATION SWEETER THAN JAM...

'The mudbrick house standing in front of me, which I looked down upon with disdain, was mine. So was the fig tree, in need of love, leaning towards it. We had bought everything we had, everything we owned, with all that remained to us. As if this tiny garden were a big cauldron. I was boiling away all my troubles with sugar-flavored consolations. On one hand, I was imprisoning them in jars, saving them for the bitter cold of winter. I would eat the mudbrick jam on my most desperate days.'

In this work, which surpasses the originality of a first novel, Nagehan Kruç Şeremet takes the reader on a journey through time from Skopje to Istanbul with her compelling style. 'Kerpiç Reçeli' is a real- life story that seeps from jam jars into the depths of our collective memory in the triangle of past-present-future.

'When I completed the file, I realized that Kerpiç Reçeli was no longer just an ordinary Word document that I greeted every time I opened my computer. It had become a drama as sweet as jam that everyone should read, taste, and experience. A drama that reminds us every day that we never tire of clinging to life with hope...'
