Individual and Academic Development Office

The Individual and Academic Development Office conducts various programs to facilitate the adaptation process of incoming students to the university, to prepare students for university life, and to support their academic development. The programs aim to enrich students' university experience personally, socially and intellectually, and support their academic success.

With the support services provided in the first year of university life, students discover ways to contribute to their personal development as well as becoming individuals who are open to learning, discover their own potential, achieve high academic success, have awareness and self-confidence.

Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling is a program that facilitates the university adaptation process, in which our upperclassmen students guide undergraduate students who are new to their departments by sharing their experiences.

All newly admitted students are assigned a peer advisor from the upperclassmen of their department by the Individual and Academic Development Office after they complete their registration process. Peer counselors contact their assigned students and support them in the first year of their education by answering all their questions about university life and rules, making new friends, course registration, study skills and extracurricular activities.

Dormitory Counseling

Dormitory Counseling was established to facilitate the adaptation process of students receiving dormitory services to dormitory life and to ensure social interaction in dormitory life.

Following the completion of dormitory registration, students are assigned a dormitory advisor by the Individual and Academic Development Office. Dormitory counselors contact their assigned students and introduce themselves and their roles. In this way, students enrolled in the dormitory receive support on many issues such as dormitory life and rules, social activities, etc. from dormitory counselors who have had similar experiences before.
