Invisible To The Eye
Interview & Movie Screening

Would you like to embark on a journey to explore the multifaceted architectural and artistic history of the ancient city of Istanbul?

Invisible To The Eye, directed by Zeynep Dadak, draws inspiration from Eremya Çelebi Kömürciyan's book "Istanbul History: Istanbul in the Seventeenth Century." In modern-day Istanbul, the film follows the trail of this special route.

Originally titled “Ah Gözel İstanbul”, it is a creative documentary that reflects on the relationship developed by Kömürciyan beyond the pleasures of seeing, watching, and looking at the time. Our film screening will take place at Istanbul Modern, the city's first modern and contemporary art museum.

By watching Invisible To The Eye, we will witness Istanbul's visual travelogue. Following the screening, our Dean of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba, and our Department Chair of Arts and Cultural Management, Prof. Dr. Marcus Graf, will evaluate the documentary from architectural and artistic perspectives.

On the day of the event, our shuttle will depart from in front of the Rectorate at 09:30 AM. The event will start at 11:00 AM and return to campus at 03:30 PM.
